The Madworks x Hwatang OHBIG LED Magnifier is a laboratory-grade magnifying glass specifically designed for model makers and craftspeople who rely on visual precision. The built-in LED illumination offers adjustable brightness and four color temperature modes.

Lenses of the 1.8x and 2.3x models:

K9 Optical White Glass Lens: The 4-inch (100 mm) white biconvex glass lens provides excellent light transmission and delivers clear, sharp images with true-to-life colors without color distortion.

Lens 3x model

The 8D aspherical lenses, made in Taiwan, are made of high-quality Japanese PMMA optical material and an ultra-robust 5H surface coating.

[SPECIAL CLASS LIGHTING]

The OHBIG features a 24+24 SMD LED ring light module with diffuser, ensuring uniform illumination and low glare. It's ideal for viewing reflective materials like metal and offers natural color rendering with Ra>90 LEDs, as used in laboratories.

OHBIG offers 4 color temperature settings: warm white (3000K), neutral white (4000K), day white (5900K) and cool white (6500K).

5 brightness levels via AA batteries (not included) and 3 additional boost modes via USB-C. 780 lux at 12 cm on level 5 and 2800 lux on level 8.

[WHICH MAGNIFICATION IS THE RIGHT ONE]: .

The ideal magnification depends on your model-making area and your personal working style. Our general recommendation:

• 1.8× – Perfect for Gundam models, sci-fi kits.
• 2.3× – Ideal for civilian or military models in 1:35 and 1:48 scale as well as for miniatures and figures (e.g. Warhammer).
• 3.0× – Ideal for the finest details, small scales such as 1:72 or 1:144 as well as ship models in 1:350 or 1:700.

 [UNIVERSAL 1/4" SCREW HOLE]: The OHBIG handle has a standard 1/4" screw hole on the bottom, which allows connection to an external accessory mount (e.g. tripod, camera mount).

[AA BATTERIES & USB-C]: OHBIG runs on AA batteries (not included) and can be operated continuously by connecting a USB-C cable. In battery mode, the device automatically turns off after 30 minutes to conserve battery life.

 [OPTIONAL - Gooseneck Table Clamp with Universal 1/4" Screw Mount]: Equipped with a sturdy 40 cm long gooseneck table clamp and a dual-axis ball head for a full 720° rotation (360° ball head + 360° base rotation), this set enables precise, hands-free positioning. The heavy-duty clamp fits surfaces from 5 mm to 60 mm thick and features a triple threaded hole design for flexible horizontal or vertical mounting.
